We had an excellent time on our field trip to Pope this week! The performance of Alice in Wonderland was wonderful, and our class really enjoyed seeing the “big kids” perform.
Our holiday party is next Tuesday, December 17th! Please be on the lookout for a sign-up genius from our room moms and don’t forget to send your items in!!! We've loved hearing the students book reports so far! I am so proud of how well each student has handled themselves while presenting! We have started a Kindness Jar for the month of December. The students have had so much fun finding different acts of kindness. Every time we fill our jar we earn another reward. One of the rewards is for Thursday, reading by flashlight! If you have a flashlight, bring it in Thursday. I have extra for students to use if they need one. Also, we are doing a holiday movie on Friday. Students have earned slippers, stuffed animal, blanket and pillow. Feel free to send your child with another bag with those items. This week we got right back into the swing of learning. IOWA scores have arrived. Please be sure to check your child's purple folder for their scores today. Included is a parent guide that can help answer any questions you may have. I am always available if you have any questions or concerns about these scores. It's that time of year when the buzz begins about possible snow on the horizon. Many of us remember that wild winter we had a few years back when the snow came much sooner than expected! At the beginning of the year, you indicated on your registration forms how you would like for your child to be dismissed in the event of an unexpected school closure. Just in case your plan has changed (or if you don't recall what you put down back in August), I emailed you what I currently have on file. Please email me to confirm or correct this transportation. :) Next Thursday is our Pope Drama field trip! Please have your child dress as if they were attending a play at the Fox. We are excited to show our support for Pope and thank them for this great opportunity! (We will have lunch at school when we return)!
