It has been a great week of learning and inquiry! On Tuesday we began our new science unit by investigating different rocks and minerals. Wednesday, we weighed and measured the amount of trash in our hallway and discussed how this data applies to our STEAM Challenge. In addition, we had our counseling lesson with Mrs. Grindstaff where we learned some tips for Conflict Resolution.
Conference Week will be coming up on October 14th - 18th. You will receive a letter the week we return from break with a time and date. If a the time and date does not work with your schedule, please return it with dates and times that could work. We will then be in touch to nail down a time. I hope you all have a restful and safe fall break!! Thank you so much for your support with getting your child to school on time. IOWA Testing will take place next week. We will be testing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Testing will begin first thing in the morning so, please try and get your child to school no later than 7:30 on these days. I will not be assigning any math homework for the week however, we will be launching our Multiplication unit. I will be adding multiplication videos as they learn the different strategies into the resources tab next week.
The students have been using and posting many different assignments onto Seesaw. Your student loves to see your comments and like. Make sure if you haven't check it out to do so! Let me know if you have any questions about how to access your child's account!
