Reading: 20 Read a Fairytale of your choice (either from home or MackinVia to find one) Then go to Seesaw to complete the Fairy Tales assignment. Upload a picture of the character and add at least five character traits to the picture using the T tool or draw and color the picture of the character and label it with at least 5 character traits. **Remember that character traits are NOT physical traits like blue eyes or tall. They are traits that describe what the character is like on the inside such as honest. Be sure to put the title of the fairy tale and the name of the character. Writing 30 Go onto Seesaw and see how you are going to start planning the plot of your Fairy Tale Adaptation! It will either by in your assignments or automatically load when you click Math. *Optional time- get started on an assignment on your Math Choice Board Reading 30 Read article “Neighbors create “bear hunts” for kids amid coronavirus” under assignments and complete the 2 reading comprehension activities on Newsela. Log in using clever. See the tab “Websites” for instructions on how to log into Clever. *Remember you should be reading everyday for 20 minutes! *Optional- Join me everyday on Seesaw under assignments as I continue to read The One and Only Ivan aloud to you!* Writing 30 *We are going to start learning about writing and adapting original fairytales. This is a new standard for the 4th 9 weeks. Log into Seesaw and complete the assignment titled: Fairy Tale Adaptations. (I’m attaching the graphic organizer for the assignment if you want to print. Most books are on this platform. We will have a class zoom at 11 tomorrow. I will send the link today! Subject # of minutes Math: 30 Go onto brainpop jr, using clever or mackinvia. Watch the video on polygons. Then take the easy quiz or hard quiz. Go onto Seesaw and complete the Polygon or Not assignment. *With your remaining time go on Moby Max and click on the math fact fluency!* *Optional- play the game from the video on Polygons* Reading 30 *In your Storyworks magazine, read the article The Boy Who Couldn’t Smile. Then Login to Seesaw and answer the questions about the article. Then think and respond to this question in Office 365: Imagine that Osawa and Ella meet one another. What might they talk about? Write a conversation between the two kids. It's been a lot of learning for so many different people (myself included!) Thank you thank you for all that you've done at home and for your patience. Patience for links not working correctly, patience if a document isn't loaded correctly and patience if technology isn't working correctly. We're making it! Next week will be Spring Break. I know it feels a little weird, but I hope this gives you and your family a new time together. A time to hold your family a little closer and cherish the time together. Digital Learning will continue back on Monday April 13th. I look forward to continuing this journey with you guys after the break.
