As you know by now, school is going to look very different for the upcoming days. This situation is not one I ever expected to deal with in my teaching career but, it is our current reality. The third-grade team has been working together to come up with an instructional plan to benefit our students. I will primarily use my blog and Seesaw for updates. I know most of you already check my blog weekly but if not, you will need to check it daily for your child’s assignments. My virtual office hours will be from 9:30-11:00 am each day. During this time, I will be available to answer any questions you might have regarding online assignments. Daily assignments will be posted on my blog prior to my virtual hours and should take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete each day. (If you should have a question later in the day please feel free to email me)! The Invention Convention is still on! So please have your child continue to work on it. I will post the remaining documents to complete next week. If you or your child has any questions please contact Mrs. Bates ([email protected]) or Mrs. Pasqual ([email protected]) Please respond to this message and tell me the following:
and the Link to our Digital Resource Guide- (see blog for attachment) I will be sending information about Seesaw and how to log in from home individually. (Each student has their own unique login). Thank you so much for your patience and understanding! We will get through this challenge together. Know that this will be a learning curve for everyone and flexibility will be the name of the game. Give your children a hug from me and please email me pictures of them working from home! Warmly, Laura Friday was STEAM-tastic! What an exciting day as we became officially STEAM certified! Mrs. Carstens will be sending home an email soon regarding our STEAM certification. Students have worked so hard on their PSA's and the importance of recycling. Check out your child's seesaw for their groups PSA!
On Tuesday, our class will be going to the LLC with the problems they brainstormed for the Invention Convention. This will be our first lesson with Mrs. Bates. Also, if your child wishes to be partners with another student in the class after seeing they have similar problems, a partner letter will go home. Please sign and return this letter to show you agree with the partnership. If at any point, the students would rather work separate, that is fine. It happens throughout the planning process. Just let me know! Hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine this weekend!
